Ring in the holiday season with a tree lighting, live animals, carnival rides, appearances by Santa and more family-friendly fun as Deck the Pines returns to Woodforest on Friday, Dec. 6.
The 3rd annual holiday celebration this year is from 5-8 p.m. with a tree lighting at 7 p.m. in Pine Market. The event, at 791 Fish Creek Thoroughfare, Montgomery, is free and open to the public.
In addition to the annual tree lighting, families can also enjoy riding the mini Ferris wheel and swings, visiting a petting zoo with live Nativity animals, listening to hits from DJ Tristan and capturing photos with Santa. Other activities include face painting, balloon artists and inflatables.
“Deck the Pines is a highlight of the year for us,” said Cameron VanNorman, Events and Marketing Coordinator for Pine Market. “We love welcoming families to experience the wonder of the lights, decorations and holiday fun at Pine Market. Don’t miss this fun time for all — there’s something at Deck the Pines for everyone to get in the holiday spirit and make memories together.”
This year’s event will also include live entertainment from elves and light-up hula hooping entertainers. The Snow Zone with its snow machine will bring a taste of a white Christmas to Woodforest.
Pine Market businesses will be doing giveaways and hosting crafts and activities, such as Grinch photos and crafts at local candy shop Sugar Sugar, giveaways and apartment complex tours at The Lofts, and free swag at Jeremiah’s Italian Ice.
The approximate 45-acre open-air Pine Market retail center is anchored by Harvest Market and features recently opened businesses and restaurants, such as Los Cucos Mexican Cafe, Tenzen Japanese Restaurant and 16 Handles.
